Wavefront has been a long time coming.

It's an action puzzler that was originally released as Waveform for PC back in 2012, and I loved it.

It's actually the first game by Eden Industries, who you may now know as the studio creating the Earthbound-inspired RPG Citizens of Earth.

Wavefront is quite a bit different from that game, mind. You manipulate the amplitude and wavelength of a wave of light as you travel across the solar system.

Your goal is to restore light to a dying galaxy that is being consumed by a singularity.

It's easy enough to play, as you just use your finger to move the wave around. But the level design forces you to react fast otherwise you'll perish.

Some levels let you take it slower, while some will see you being chased by the singularity, putting your skills to the test.

Even tougher levels add wormholes, particle accelerators, and the "Space Squids of Venus" for you to either travel through or avoid.

I had a lot of fun with it on PC and it's a game that I always thought would play much better on the touchscreen.

You'll be able to purchase Wavefront for £1.99 / $2.99 on the UK and US App Stores at midnight.
