Since its announcement in late 2012 by Scottish indie studio Secret Lunch, the 2.5D Oddworld-inspired platformer Shu has only looked better and better.

Now, Secret Lunch and their partners at Coatsink Software have announced the arrival of Shu for PlayStation Vita, PS3, and PS4 "by the middle of 2015."

In Shu, you play as the eponymous hero, trying to outrun an apocalyptic storm by racing to the top of a mountain.

Along the way, you'll come across helpless villagers who you can choose to abandon or add to your growing trail of followers.

Additional teammates will both help and hurt your ability to escape the pursuing destruction, granting you new abilities, but also putting the malestrom one body closer to reaching your party.

Read more about the Shu announcement here, or keep up with updates on Secret Lunch's website.
