Paramount's movie tie-in game Interstellar is out on iOS at midnight - that's worth a "Hurrah", yes?

While movie tie-in games tend to be less than, err, stellar, Interstellar might actually be worth your time.

It's designed in a way to teach - through play - how space time-travel works in Christopher Nolan's film. This is achieved by allowing you to create a solar system.

The alignment of planets, stars, and moons that you assemble is then available to all other online players of Interstellar.

Likewise, you can jump in the spaceship Endurance from the film and explore the player-created universe. To survive, you'll need to use gravity to slingshot you across space to reserve fuel.

Interstellar

There are missions to take on and patches to earn providing you're proficient in learning the lessons the game teaches you.

Sound good? Well, you'll be able to download Interstellar for free on the UK and US App Stores at midnight, then.

As to you Android players, I've already told you this week that you can grab it on Google Play.
