The Keep is a Dungeon Master-style RPG that merges the old-school feel of first-person dungeon crawlers with modern day, touch-based technology.

The game is designed to stay loyal to its genre, with all the atmospheric exploration, puzzle solving, and trap defusing you could want, while still remaining friendly to newcomers.

There are three difficulty levels in place, with optional permadeath. You'll also be able to save your progress anywhere in-game.

Players in the US can buy The Keep now for $12.99 on the Nintendo 3DS, while the European market will have to wait until September 18th, when it will be available for £8.99.

Check out The Keep's trailer below, and don't forget to head over to its website and Nintendo eShop page for more info.
