New trailer for MOBA Vainglory shows off intense tapping action
Prepare to tap this October
Vainglory, the tap-intensive free to play MOBA by Super Evil Megacorp, is headed to the App Store in October, as announced during today’s Apple event.
There’s also a new trailer out, focusing in on the game’s intuitive controls - "perfected for touch" - and intense 3 vs 3 matches that you can play with people all over the world.
Watch it below.
We wrote about Vainglory back in June when it was soft launched in Southeast Asian markets. PocketGamer.biz also spoke with Super Evil Megacorp CEO Bo Daly about Vainglory's place in the mobile gaming market.
According to Daly, “tablets are the best hardware for MOBA,” mainly for their portability, and what that means for cooperative gaming.
“All the players can sit in the same room,” said Daly. “That’s one of our unique selling points for Vainglory.”
Unlike most mobile MOBAs, Vainglory strives to be a seriously competitive game for hardcore rather than casual players, with matches lasting about as long as (if not a bit shorter than) League of Legends games – about 25 minutes.
In keeping with the same standards major MOBAs on the PC have set, Vainglory will run at 60 frames per second on the new iPhone 6.
Vainglory will be available for free sometime in October. Check out the game’s official website for more info.
