Flick Knights brings slapstick to turn-based MOBA competitions, out on iOS today

Flick Knights is as simple as its name suggests: you just flick your knights across an arena.

It's probably one of the most intuitive MOBAs out there due to its one-touch controls. That's not to imply the competition isn't as tough as you'd expect, mind.

You have a team of five warriors against an equal-sized team in each match. Your goal is to hit your opponent's base with one of your players by flicking them across the arena.

Of course, your opponent is out to do the same, so attack and defence must be balanced.

What may help you out are the special powers that each unique character possesses. They're a wacky lot, including a mallet-wielding raccoon, a masked wrestler shark, and my favourite, a cyborg otter.

The "training gif" below demonstrates how it all works.

There are two game modes that you can try out in Flick Knights.

First, a live version sees each side making moves on a timer. That's the more intense playing method.

The other mode lets you play multiple matches at once. It's asynchronous, you see, so you can make a move and then your opponent has 48 hours to make theirs.

Flick Knights is free to download on the App Store right now.

Yes, there are IAPs if you'd rather not earn the in-game currency through gameplay. With enough of it, you can purchase new characters for your squad.

Future updates will add more characters, costumes, and weapons.
