Free-to-play Bronze Award-winning splodgy first-person shooter Dead Trigger 2 has been updated with a big wodge of new content.

The Tournament Update, as you might expect from the name, adds new tournaments to the zombie blaster. Each weekend there'll be a new tournament for you to compete in to see if you can win some fabulous real-world prizes.

This weekend's tournament will take place in a brand new arena. It's called Purgatory and features gallows ropes, impaling traps, and other delightful sounding items of décor.

There's also a new story campaign that takes place in Europe, and a new oil field to capture. Then there are four new environments to slaughter the undead in – a university, the jungle, the Arctic, and an airport.

And there are two new silly guns. One's called the Metal Storm and fires a storm of metal. The other is called the Area-51 gun and can disintegrate an enemy in a couple of seconds. Fun.

There are a few other tweaks as well, and if you like the sound of all those guns and places to use them, you can grab the update right now from the App Store right now. Hopefully the Google Play version will be on the way soon.
