Ryt's iPad exclusive Miniverse reminds me of that organ-extracting board game Operation.

The idea is to drag planetoids through space to ferry stranded astronauts to their rocket. You might need to move two planets together to trade space explorers, or quickly save an astronaut before a planet decays.

But you must always keep within the restrictive blue line, or the planet will immediately disintegrate, killing any survivors on its surface. That's the Operation bit.

New mechanics are constantly being introduced, as you can see in our PG First Play video above. But simply moving the astronauts about, and guiding them from planet to planet in a relay race to safety, is certainly a unique idea.

Miniverse is out on iPad at around midnight tonight, wherever you live (thanks, time zones!). It's free to try, and you can buy more levels inside the game as an in-app purchase.
