Out at midnight: Orbitum is a spinny arcade survival game that will hypnotise you
Prepare to get dizzy
Fans of Atomic+ should already have their eyes locked onto Orbitum after my quick preview yesterday.
Since then, I've returned to this quickfire arcade survival game several times to up my score. It's surprisingly difficult to leave alone - very hypnotic.
All you do is tap the screen to hop your photon onto the next ring up. You do this in order to avoid being swallowed by a black hole at the centre.
The catch is that you have to be careful with your taps. If you tap too much you can be killed by the red outer rings, you see.
There are also other shapes orbiting the rings. Some will kill you instantly, others will give you extra points, and then there are those that send you into hyper space.
It's a compelling time waster if you need to make a few bored minutes pass quicker.
Anyway, the reason I'm talking about Orbitum again isn't just because I stayed up late playing it (shh, don't tell).
