Assassin's Creed Pirates has been updated with a bunch of new content for iPhone and iPad

Assassin's Creed Pirates has been updated with a lump of new content, letting you extend your silly piratical adventures even further into the seven seas.

The update adds a new chapter appendix in La Isla de la Juventud. And if you free some slaves from a stockade you get a special bonus that refreshes your new daily challenges.

On top of that you can customise your ship now. Because nothing strikes fear into the hearts of sea-farers like a pink hull and lime green sails. I don't know if you can make your ship look like that, but you should definitely be able to.

The combat has had a bit of a polish up as well. Apparently it's now more dynamic, and you can use your spider shot to break any enemy attack. That certainly sounds more dynamic.

There are a bunch of other pokes and prods under the hood as well, and eight new fish to catch with a special hook.

The Freedom update is live on the App Store right now and if you've already bought Assassin's Creed Pirates it won't cost you a thing to download it.
