Death to manufactured flight

Angry Henry is a free game about chucking chainsaws at helicopter lords

Angry Henry is, unsurprisingly, very angry. He's got it in for the Helicopter Lords and he'll use any weapon to take them down.

That's the concept of Shay Pierce's (ex-OMG POP chap and Connectrode developer) new game. Take a deep breath - it's called Angry Henry And The Escape From The Helicopter Lords: Part 17: The Re-Reckoning.

Its nonsensical attitude towards ridiculous action reminds me of McPixel. Except it's even more action-packed.

Angry Henry auto-runs to the right, firing or throwing his weapon. It might be a machine gun, bombs, chainsaws, or a laser rifle.

The Helicopter Lord will be on the right side of the screen spawning smaller enemies that will kill Henry upon touching him.

To keep them back, you can tap on the left side of the screen to jump, and then tap again in mid-air to make Henry roar. This pushes them back.

The right side of the screen changes Henry's aiming. He'll fire his weapon all the time, but pointing downwards. Tapping and holding will make him point it upwards.

It's a gloriously over-the-top platform shooter and, importantly, is very simple to control.

If you want to check it out you can do so right now by downloading it on the App Store for free. It'll be coming to Android soon.
