The SteamBoy is an upcoming handheld console that, as you might have guessed from the name, lets you play Steam games on the go.

It's just been announced over at E3, but details are a little thin on the ground at the moment. We know the device will use a similar controller layout to the official Steam controller, and that it'll have a screen in the middle of it like the PS Vita.

When it comes to the important things, like the processor, the resolution, how much RAM it'll have, how much it'll cost, and whether it'll come in space grey, the SteamBoy team has remained tight-lipped.

All we've got to go on is a slightly-too-epic teaser trailer that shows flashes of the device, and some product shots that don't show much more.

It's certainly an intriguing development, and we're excited to see how the handheld actually shapes up. Until we hear a bit more though, we'll file this one under "wait and see"
