Neat. Smash Box Updated on June 10th, at 17:34: Smash Bros 3DS is out in Europe on October 3rd, too. Oh, and here's a very pretty bit of box art. Yum.

Super Smash Bros. will be released in North America on October 3rd, Nintendo has announced.

Plus, Adolf Hitler, Jesus, and the guy from Star Wars who says "It's a Trap!" will appear as fighters.

Well, that's all up to you, really. Designer Masahiro Sakurai has announced that Mii characters will appear in the game, so you can make and add whoever you like.

This has only been confirmed for the Wii U version, so far.

Ice T

There are three types of fighter: fast and powerful Mii Brawlers, weapon masters Mii Swordfighters, and long-range Mii Gunners. They're all separate fighters with their own moves.

Mii Fighters

You can also pick four special moves, from 12 different options for each type of Mii Fighter.

Trophies

Sakurai also showed some quick glimpses at a few new Smash features for 3DS.

We saw the familiar smash bag, those addictive trophies, and singleplayer mode with map. Oh, and that thick black character outline is optional. Hooray!

See all that, and loads of Wii U gumpf, in the full Nintendo Direct broadcast below.
