Coming this week: When and where to watch E3 2014

This week, it's all about E3.

That big, brash, and gratuitously loud video game Mecca in Los Angeles where all the major publishers meet up and announce their latest blood-soaked war simulators.

Things kick off at 5:30pm (all these times are in BST, for our UK readers) today with a Microsoft keynote that probably won't contain any references to mobile at all. At 8pm, we've got EA, who might spare a few minutes for iOS and Android.

At 11pm tonight, Ubisoft will take to the stage. At 2am the next morning, we'll be watching Sony make a bunch of Vita announcements. We've got guys in America to cover Sony's keynote, so tune into PG on Tuesday morning to find out what's new.

Nintendo E3

Finally, the E3 Nintendo Direct will be broadcast at 5pm on Tuesday. You'll also want to keep your eye on Twitch's E3 streams after that for more Nintendo videos.

All of these keynotes will be streamed live on Twitch, and we'll have the most relevant stuff for mobile and handheld gamers on the site. And when they're all done, we'll let Matt and Peter loose on L.A. to find, play, and write about games.

And if all that wasn't enough, some new games are coming out, too. Like...

iOS and Android Twisty Planets

Twisty Planets is an interesting puzzler about a cartoon TV who's collecting stars on weird blocky planetoids. It starts off easily enough, but things get complicated once you begin twisting the levels like a Rubik's Cube.

This Crescent Moon-published puzzle game is heading to iOS on Thursday, and to Android sometime after that.

It's only been a few weeks since we received - and loved - JoyJoy, and Radiangames is already releasing another of its dusty Xbox Indie classics on iOS and Android.

This one's called Fluid SE. It's a stylish adventure game about using powerpills, vortices, speed pads, and teleporters to avoid a swarm of killer jellyfish. Out on Thursday, hopefully.

And Terry Cavanagh's nutso-hard gravity flip platformer VVVVVV is still in the Apple approval queue. Will it come out this week?

Nintendo 3DS

This week, Nintendo's attention is in Los Angeles. But, hey, Euro gamers will be able to download surreal anime football games Inazuma Eleven GO: Light and Inazuma Eleven GO: Shadow from the eShop from June 13th for £34.99 each.
