Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games's retro-inspired chivalrous platformer, will be hitting 3DS on June 26th

Shovel Knight, the Kickstarter funded retro platformer from Yacht Club Games, is finally going to come out for 3DS on June 26th. Or at least it is if you live in America.
Unfortunately due to localisation and different rating systems the game won't be hitting Europe at the same time, and there's still no concrete date for when it will pop up. Boo we say to that. Boo.
The game takes its cues from the likes of Castlevania and Metroid and sees you playing as the titular shovel-wielding knight.
You romp around a series of 8-bit-ish levels digging stuff up, duelling with other knights, and trying to conquer some super tough looking platforming.
If that sounds like you mug of ale, and you're in the US, then you'll be able to grab Shovel Knight from the eShop on June 26th. We'll let you know when we get more details about the EU release.
