World of Thingies is a match-3 puzzler that lets you throw cute critters in a blender

If there's one genre that on-the-go gamers are completely spoiled for, it’s match-3 puzzlers.
Whether you like them pure, jiggling, mixed with light RPG elements, retro-inspired, or on your 3DS, you're pretty much spoiled for choice with this genre.
But how many of these games let you take cute characters and throw them into a blender, or distract your opponent with cute cat videos?
None?
Well, that's a bit of an oversight.
Thankfully, DeNA's World of Thingies has stepped in to fix the situation.
First things first, this is a Mobage-powered title so you can expect the usual free-to-play monetization loop.
If you're ok with that, World of Thingies looks like it has a lot to offer in terms of humour and aesthetics.
Set in the super twee world of "Landiland", your goal is to collect as many cute Thingies as possible and use them to power-up and evolve your favourite Thingies.
There are single-player missions that culminate in boss fights and real-time multiplayer challenges as well - so it looks like World of Thingies will let you indulge both your on- and offline puzzling fix.
