PG First Play: Hands-on with Kero Blaster - Pixel's amphibious action game for iPhone

Earlier today, we told you that Cave Story creator Pixel had launched his latest game - froggy run-and-gun Kero Blaster - on the iPhone App Store.
While we work on a review, we wanted to give you a first look at how this pixelated platformer plays. In the video above you'll get to see some enemies, a boss fight, and the shop.
You'll also see the inventive controls, which use a sort of toggle switch system to let you continuously shoot in one of three directions while you concentrate on moving and jumping. It works incredibly well.
