Cipher Prime's Platinum Award-winning Splice: Tree of Life was a calming, almost ambient puzzler about creating molecular bonds.

Its latest, Intake: Be Aggressive, on the other hand, is a bonkers swirl of pills and pulsating noise that gets frantic about four seconds in and doesn't stop being frantic until you're dead.

The game has just popped up on the App Store in New Zealand, which means it should be hitting the UK at midnight tonight.

It plays a bit like a manic colour-switching shooter. You need to tap pills, use a colour swapping shield to protect yourself, and all while being assaulted by a crashing digital soundtrack.

If that sounds like something you want to mash your face into then keep an eye on the App Store later tonight when Intake should be landing for £1.99 / $2.99.
