2D arcade fighter Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!! coming to North American PS Vitas this fall

Aksys Games has announced that it'll bring the bright and bouncy Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!! to the PS Vita and PS3 in North America this fall.

An update to the 2009 2D arcade fighter Arcana Heart 3, Love Max features 23 playable characters with each corresponding to a major Arcana of the standard tarot card deck.

Players won't be hurting for variety with Love Max, as the 23 characters range from a tiny, stealthy ninja girl to a bunnygirl piloting a giant robot. As if that wasn't enough, players can customise each character in one of 19 different colour schemes.

But the real draw is Love Max is its Online Versus mode, which matches you up to an opponent of an appropriate skill level and allows you to hop into a lobby with five other players eager to beat the super-cute stuffing out of each other.

In addition to the brightened up graphics and rebalanced gameplay introduced in Love Max, the upcoming port also adds a masochistic new ten-fight Time Attack mode.

If that sounds a bit daunting, there always a new Trial Mode to dive into where you can craft your punishing combos to their full potential.

Aksys is confident that Love Max will run at a "silky" 60 frames per second, so it'll certainly delight fans of 2D arcade fighters even if the idea of pounding magical school girls into paste with a giant robot doesn't appeal.

Love Max will also support replay saving and viewing, so you'll be able to upload and share you choicest victories - or most embarrassing defeats - with your friends.

We don't have a firm release date past "Fall 2014" just yet, nor has their been word on a European release, but we'll keep you updated as we learn more.
