Capcom confirms name of brand-new 3DS Ace Attorney game in Japanese trailer
Phoenix Wright does Marty McFly
All rise, lovers of courtroom shenanigans.
After court documents were leaked on Tuesday regarding a new Ace Attorney game for 3DS set in Japan's Meiji period, Capcom has just confirmed its existence via a Japanese-language trailer (embedded below).
In the latest adventure in the long-running series, entitled The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures of Ryuunosuke Naruhodo, Capcom breaks with tradition somewhat.
Gone, then, are series regulars Larry Butz, Dick Gumshoe, and the characters we've come to know (and possibly love). Instead, there's Ryuunosuke, ancestor of Phoenix Wright and all-round champion of justice.
It remains to be seen where Ace Attorney original creator Shu Takumi takes this forthcoming game, sure. But if the trailer is anything to go by, it should be quite the experience.
As ever, stay tuned to the Pocket Gamer channel for the latest news on this game.
