Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will jump from PSP to Vita shortly

Konami has taken the bloodied sack off its head to announce that the Bronze Award-winning Silent Hill Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will be coming to Vita soon.

What Konami failed to address is whether these would be ports of the PSP versions, or whether they had been spruced up a bit.

There's no word as to whether those who bought the games on PSP would have to pay for these Vita versions either. Probably.

Silent Hill

Silent Hill Origins is the prequel to the psychological horror game series. In our review of the PSP version we called it "an extremely solid experience that mostly succeeds."

"The impatient might object to the convoluted puzzles and the combat is a weak link, but as the first serious example of handheld horror, this sets a satisfyingly high bar".

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a re-imagining of the first Silent Hill game. Notably, all of the combat has been removed to increase your vulnerability in Shattered Memories.

No release date was given with Konami's announcement, but we do know that each game will cost £7.99/€9.95 on the PSN Store.
