Hidden Tesla - Clash of Clans Complete Guide to Defenses

| Clash of Clans

The clue is in the name.

This is a hidden defensive unit, which springs up once the enemy wanders into range and unleashes electrical carnage.

A couple of things to note: this unit has a 7-tile range but a 5-tile 'attack trigger' range; and a hidden Hidden Tesla automatically appears once your enemy has destroyed 50% of your village.

Range: 6-7 tiles
Attack Speed: 0.6s
Damage Type: Single target
Favorite Target: P.E.K.K.A. (Damage x2)
Targets: Ground & Air
Size Requirement: 2x2 tiles

Defensive tactics

Don't telegraph the placement of your Hidden Teslas and their intervention in battle can be devastating to an enemy's otherwise well planned attack.

That said, consider them a defensive bonus and don't plan your entire tactical response based on their role - their range is limited, and the advantage in deploying them is certainly the element of surprise.

Level Damage Per Second Hit Points Upgrade Cost Upgrade Time Town Hall Level Required Build Number Allowed
1 34 600 1,000,000 2d 7 2
2 40 630 1,250,000 4d 7 2
3 48 660 1,500,000 6d 7 2
4 55 690 2,000,000 8d 8 3
5 64 730 2,500,000 10d 8 3
6 75 770 3,000,000 12d 8 3
7 87 810 3,500,000 14d 9 4

Offensive tactics

If a route into a village looks too easy for comfort, expect a few nasty surprises in store.

Avoid areas that suggest an ideal placement for a Hidden Tesla but if you come across one then do your best to work around its limited range. Spotting Hidden Teslas being upgraded on other players' villages can sometimes give away their exact location - use this to your advantage on a subsequent raid.
