Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is out today, promises 3-4 packs of free DLC a week until June

Xseed Games' latest action RPG for the Vita, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, is now available and it's launching with a bang.

That bang comes in the form of a dozen day-one DLC packs of costume pieces from the Bronze Award-winning Ragnarok Odyssey. If you already have the costume piece in question from the earlier game, you can download it for free as a special "thank you" from Xseed.

If you haven't played the original, you can download each pack for 99c / 69p.

But those clothes are only the tip of the DLC iceberg.

There are five other DLC packs currently available for Ragnarok Odyssey Ace: two collections of musical tracks (free), a collection of costume pieces from Grandia (free), a Royal Ball Outfit Set, and the Gorgeous Headwear Set - both of which are free for the first two months as a bonus to early adopters.

Xseed also noted that it's on schedule to release three to four free DLC packs every week from the start of April until June. These packs will include one set of licensed costumes from various other games, and a few other goodies like costume pieces or and special quests.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace introduces a franchise-first Cross Play between the PS3 and PS Vita versions (for up to four players). If you'd rather go it alone, you can recruit two elite AI mercenaries to fight alongside you and compensate for your character's weaknesses.
