I always knew it would be my clones that killed me.

In 15 Coins, I've spent most of my time dying at the hands of my own duplicates. You'll do the same if you pick it up on iOS or Android on April 3rd.

It's a minimalist arcade game in presentation and in design - a smart little package that challenges you to collect just 15 coins in an orange arena.

That's easy enough, you think to yourself, as you tap or tilt to steer your cone around the screen.

But everywhere you travel, a steadily growing trail of clones stacks up behind you, creating traffic for you to dodge.

To help you out there are collectibles that are similar to the power pellets in Pac-Man.

These small squares allow you a few seconds to destroy the clones by running into them - a move that would normally see you killed.

Once you eventually collect 15 coins for the first time, you get two choices about how to challenge yourself next.

Either you could attempt the same level but do it faster to get higher on the leaderboards, or you could try out Medium or Hard, which increase the game's speed substantially.

15 Coins

15 Coins has me locked in a cycle of trying to outdo myself. It's a stylish and accessible game that's worth a look for anybody who enjoys quickfire action and high score-chasing.

It's coming to iOS and Android on April 3rd. The version on Google Play will be free and ad-funded, while the one on the App Store will be discounted at 69p / 99c for the first week, after which it'll go up to £1.49 / $1.99.
