Valve is bringing Portal to the Nvidia Shield
The announcement is not a lie
Hey, Mr. or Mrs. Pocket Gamer - do you own an Nvidia Shield?
If you answered "yes", you'll be GLaDOS that you do because Valve's announced that the original powerhouse puzzler Portal will come to the Shield "soon".
The announcement came at the GPU Technology Conference, where Valve's Doug Lombardi called the Android-powered Shield "a very powerful and unique device" before noting that "Our companies have a strong history working together and we're looking forward to Portal's arrival on Shield."
A Chell of a good time
Portal currently holds a rating of 90 on Metacritic and was praised by players and critics alike for its sharp writing and innovative gameplay which blurred the lines between physics puzzlers and first-person shooters.
Set in the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories, Portal follows the adventures of mute protagonist Chell as she tries to survive the cruel tests conducted by the sadistic AI program, GLaDOS.
We don't have a specific release date for Portal on the Shield just yet, but we'll be sure to keep you updated with news on this port as we have it.
