Maths is all the rage nowadays.

Calculords is all about maths, Threes! is all about maths, and now Numolition is all about maths.

At its core, Numolition is a match-stuff tapper that sees you clearing the screen of stacks of numbers in explosive fashion. After a sedate start, you'll soon be bundling numbers together, sliding them around, and tackling challenges to earn more stars.

These challenges usually involve leaving some numbers still standing at the end of your calculated tappy demolition sprees.

To start with, this is reasonably easy. But as the structures you're knocking down with maths get bigger and more intricate, it can become a pretty tough task bagging all of the bonus stars.

There's a cartoony anime style to proceedings, and a cast of characters that poke and prod you into trying the challenges and learning the different mechanics of the game.

Numolition might not have the compulsive repetition of Threes! or the silly sci-fi lane battles of Calculords, but there's enough puzzling fun here to keep you occupied for a fair few hours.

Numolition is available from the App Store right now for £1.49 / $1.99 [buy], from the Google Play Store for the same low price [buy] and from the Windows Phone Store for £1.29 / $1.49 [buy].
