It was only a fortnight ago that Foursaken Media released Bug Heroes 2 on the App Store. Already, however, the studio is back. This time with cuboid RTS Block Fortress War.

It's a spin-off of the hit Silver Award winner Block Fortress (which has attracted 1.4 million paid downloads, Foursaken says), and is essentially a top-down RTS with Minecraft-style base-building.

In each mission, you'll control a hero leader; equip and upgrade your helper troops; take control of choke points; build turrets and defensive walls; and ultimately lead the charge to destroy your enemy's base.

Block Fortress War boasts a monster campaign set across five planets (with five races to fight against and play as), and online and local multiplayer with competitive 1v1 or 2v2 matches.

Block Fortress War will be available on iPhone and iPad from the UK and US App Stores at midnight tonight. It will set you back £1.49 / $1.99. We'll have a full review of the game up on the site soon. Until then, check out the PG First Play video up top.
