Celebrated PC adventure game The Yawhg could be heading to iOS and Android
Choose wisely
I've died, survived, got drunk, practised topiary, and hunted beast in The Yawhg.
It's a Choose Your Own Adventure game for up to four players in which the events are randomised with every play.
You're given just six weeks to prepare your character for the fabled Yawhg's arrival in town. With it will come destruction.
So, the idea is to, hopefully, survive and then rebuild civilisation.
With each week, you get to pick a location to visit and then choose from the activities you can do there. You don't really know how things will turn out: you could gain as much as you could lose.
I've enjoyed playing The Yawhg, and can see the potential for it on mobile and tablet.
Now that the Steam version of the game is out, then, I decided to ask The Yawhg developer Damian Sommer if he had any other specific target platforms in mind for his game.
"I made The Yawhg using Multimedia Fusion 2, which has an iOS and Android exporter," Sommer tells me.
"It is entirely possible that the game could be ported over to those systems and I really want to port it over."
"The pass and play functionality would also work great for handheld devices and tablets, so I really want to get it on there as soon as possible."
"I can't confirm anything, however, as I haven't even started the game's transition into mobile yet."
There's hope yet, then. Fingers crossed, we'll see The Yawhg ported over to iOS and Android in the future.
