Nintendo of America confirms Yoshi 3DS XL for stateside release

Good news ahead for Yoshi fans - or those in the market for a new, limited edition 3DS XL.
Nintendo of America's confirmed that the adorably twee Yoshi 3DS XL previously announced for Europe will make its way to North America as well.
The undeniably green 3DS XL is coming out alongside Yoshi's New Island on March 14 but, curiously, it won't come with a digital copy of the game pre-bundled on it.
It's just as cute from behind
Instead, it's a simple - if eye-catching - standalone handheld that'll cost $199.99 - not unlike the Pikachu Yellow 3DS XL that launched in the states this time last year.
It seems a bit of a miss that Nintendo didn't include a copy of Yoshi's New Island with the bundle - what, with them debuting on the same day and all - but this XL is certainly a handheld worth considering if you're a long-time fan of Mario’s faithful, dino pal.
