Noir Syndrome is a forthcoming procedurally generated murder mystery for Android
Jazz, cats, and dark streets
A procedurally generated murder mystery could well be the stuff of a detective's nightmare.
Even if it isn't, it's the defining feature of Noir Syndrome. So there.
As you've no doubt already guessed, Noir Syndrome takes many of its cues from the finest film noir movies. So, expect jazz, interrogating suspects, searching for clues, and one-bullet kill gunplay (to be avoided).
It even has a cat, which makes it a winner in my book.
Noir Syndrome has been designed for short play sessions. You will only have a certain number of days to solve a case. This means that every choice you make will affect the outcome.
What the procedural generation supplies is the necessary replay value.
Every new game should be fresh, if familiar. There are also badges to collect in the game, which you will get for completing tricky challenges. The great thing about these badges is that they affect future playthroughs, adding further longevity to the experience.
Noir Syndrome will be available for Android, PC, Mac, and Linux. You can find more details about it on its Greenlight page.
