I have two unicorns in my Disco Zoo. And enough sheep to mean that their living quarters have been automatically upgraded. This means they won't fall asleep as often, and so they'll earn me more money.

When you think about what I've just typed up there, it actually sounds a bit cruel.

It's cool, though, because I also throw disco parties to make the animals dance, refilling their energy bars and meaning I double the number of coins I earn in the process.

Oh, wait - that's cruel, too.

Sometimes in this upcoming animal-nabbing mash-up of puzzler and business sim, you feel more like a creepy pimp than the proprietor of a stylish disco ball-dangling animal exhibition.

When you're not making pigs wiggle their behinds for money in NimbleBit and Milkbag Games's sim, you're basically playing single-player Battleship, tapping on a screen to try and find extra creatures to add to your freakish menagerie.

It's all presented in the sort of delightfully charming way that you'd expect from a NimbleBit game.

As well as coins, you need to earn Bux to speed things along. And satisfied customers yell adorable things when they see the beasts you've got on show.

Disco Zoo should be open for business on the App Store this Thursday. An Android version of the game is scheduled to go live on Google Play later on in the year.
