Word Mage puts the magic into word creation to battle cute monsters

Word Mage is a lot like 1000000. Well, if the puzzle grids were made out of letters instead of keys and swords.

That's a good thing, though... especially if you like word searches.

Your sprightly mage runs to the right at the top of the screen, and will occasionally meet a cute monster.

At that point, you have to create words out of the letters in the grid below in order to attack the monster before the timer runs out.

"Alphabetical!" your mage screams, thrusting her staff at a little green slime.

Defeat enough monsters and you'll complete the level. At that stage, you can brew up some new spells using the items you found.

You also gain experience to level-up. Upon doing so, you get to put extra power into a letter, which gives you bonus attack damage if used in a word.

Fortunately, connecting letters is swift and easy in Word Mage. It's not quite so simple, though, to avoid re-using words and to stay calm under pressure.
