Foursaken Media's long-awaited sequel to Silver Award-winning tower defence shooter mash-up Bug Heroes will go live on the App Store on February 20th.

In the forthcoming Bug Heroes 2, you will control two of the creepy-crawly commandos. There will be 25 commandos from which to choose. Each of them will have its own set of skills, powers, and weaknesses.

There will be cockroach knights, waterbug pirates, mouse rangers, and ant engineers. There will be a focus on MOBA-style action in Bug Heroes 2. And you'll be able to play co-operatively or competitively with your friends, too.

Foursaken has shifted the perspective from top-down to over-the-shoulder in this sequel, lending the game a third-person-shooter look and making the bug-on-bug violence that bit more spectacular.

On top of all that, the game looks a bit gorgeous. Lots of chunky character models stomp around a world that looks like it's been lifted from a Micro Machines track and then brought to three-dimensional life.

We don't know how much the game is going to cost when it surfaces on the App Store, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.

If Bug Heroes 2 is of a similar quality to its predecessor, then we could be in for something special come February 20th.
