Gaming tablet-come-controller Wikipad has announced a major over-the-air update.

Through this the $249/£229 device gets Android 4.2, the ability to map touchscreen controls to its various buttons, joypads and D-pad via the Wikipad Controller Assistant, and additional content.

This includes games from new content partner WildTangent, which includes free-to-play, ad-funded and rental games.

Existing content partners are Sony (PlayStation Mobile) and Nvidia's TegraZone.

Wikipad comes with various games pre-installed - including Shadowgun, Reckless Racing 1, Raging Thunder 2 and Sprinkle - and the update also adds Dead Trigger 2

You can find out more about the device and US and UK retailers via the Wikipad website.
