[Update] Dood! Vita-exclusive Danganronpa gets release dates for Europe and US
US release information updated
The wait is almost over for Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, one of our 10 most anticipated Vita games for 2014.
A post on the US PlayStation Blog confirmed that it's coming to the land of freedom and eagles on February 11.
Meanwhile in Europe, a post on that Playstation Blog confirmed a retail release on February 14 with a PSN release the week after.
Danganronpa is best described as a mash-up of Phoenix Wright's analytic gameplay with the darker themes of the Zero Escape series - basically, you investigate your way around a high school while avoiding the machinations of a murderous teddy bear.
Standard stuff, really.
School dazeThere's a bit more to Danganronpa than that, however.
The students from Hope's Peak Academy are all locked in by a villainous headmaster - the aforementioned bear - and the only way for them to escape is to murder someone and get away with it.
Things get interesting if the murder's not handled correctly, however. If other students can finger the killer, the inept murderer faces "a poetic death" at the hands the psychotic, two-toned teddy bear.
We've contacted NIS America to see if Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will receive a physical release in the US and we'll update this story when we hear back.
Until then, check out the English-language trailer below.
