Apple has agreed to pay a minimum of $32.5 million in refunds to parents whose children inadvertently spent great stinking wodges of cash on cacky IAPs in games that are probably rubbish.

Apparently, some girl spent $2,600 on a game called Tap Pet Hotel, which looks a bit like a child-friendly version of The Island of Doctor Moreau.

I guess that's what could happen if you give your children unfettered access to a device with your credit card details on it. Although I'm probably not legally allowed to say that, so let's pretend I didn't.

The Cupertino-based company has also agreed to implement a new process of consent decreed by the FTC. Apple will, therefore, change some of its App Store billing practices.

According to an internal memo from Apple CEO Tim Cook, The Big A was planning to do this anyway. That's why Apple isn't contesting the FTC's rulings.
