This evening, Crescent Moon will publish twitchy ninja platformer Shadow Blade on iPhone and iPad.

It's a mixture of Super Meat Boy and Shinobi, as you jump, double-jump, and wall-jump through 40 snack-sized levels (and over spinning saw blades and deadly spike traps) while chopping up baddies with your sword.

It's fast, it's fluid, and it's fun to chase after medals by honing your skills and shaving a millisecond or two from your best time. Shadow Blade also boasts two choices for touchscreen controls and supports MFi pads.

The game's out at midnight, and will cost £1.49 / $1.99. Check out the PG First Play video above or wait for our review before spending your hard-earned doubloons.

And for those of you with phones powered by tiny green robots, Crescent Moon tells us that "Shadow Blade will not be hitting Android this week, as we still have some issues to iron out on certain devices."
