How to find the 9 golden carrots - Ferris Mueller's Day Off complete walkthrough (Part 2)

Ferris Mueller's Day Off is the new game from Forever Lost developer Glitch Games.

It's a bizarre parody of Ferris Bueller's Day Off in which Glitch Games replaces Matthew Broderick with a green donkey.

It's also a complicated puzzle game filled with all sorts of cryptic clues, crazy riddles, and obtuse brainteasers that will leave even the smartest gamers desperate searching for a walkthrough.

Which is exactly what we have here. In this complete guide, we will tell you how to find all nine golden carrots. We'll also explain how we arrived at each answer.

Take the Nytmare sleeping pills from inside Rent-A-Mule.

Go into the jail and ask the sheriff if you can get him anything to help him stay awake. Agree to get coffee and he'll give you a free coffee voucher with the code '75937'.

Go into the hotel kitchen and take the caffeinated coffee beans from the shelf. Put the tub of sleeping pills in its place.

Go upstairs in the hotel and enter room 51. Dial '123 Hash' on the phone to get room service. Order coffee, choose "Fully caffeinated with 5 sugars", choose "I have a coffee voucher", and "Sure thing, here it is..."

Type '75937 Hash' into the phone. Back out of the phone screen, open the door, and take the laced coffee from the porter.

Give the drugged coffee to the sheriff. Take his badge when he falls asleep.

Go to the public records office in Pebble Ridge and show your badge to the desk clerk. Open the drawer labelled 'N - Z' and take the file that reads 'R. Sharp'.

Give the Sharp File to the man in the jail to get a sharp nail file.

Use the nail file on the bars on the tree in the garden behind the house. Take the golden carrot from inside.

Take the crowbar from the Calamari Desert sign.

Go to Pebble Ridge and go inside the church. Use the crowbar to open the crack in the wall. Look at the coffin and make sure only the letters 'W' and 'H' are pushed in.

That's based on the sign that reads "WHISKEY" in the Calamari Desert. The cracks in the sign make it read "WH is key".

Inside is a leather duster and a clue for later.

We need 16 candles. The first four are inside this area - just use the canteen on the lit candles to extinguish their flames and then take them.

Another four are in the poker room.

Try to go into the mausoleum - you'll come across this puzzle. The correct letters, shown above, are the same as the building blocks in the house.

Another four candles are inside the wagon.

Give the 16 candles to the general store salesman to get the potato. Give him the potato to get the pink wig.

Go to Pebble Ridge and go in the red phone booth. Tap on the clothes, choose coats, and choose 'Duster'. Tap on the clothes again, choose accessories, and choose 'Wig'.

You now look like the guy on the wanted poster in the sheriff's office.

Go to the hotel and ring the bell on the front desk. The man will think you're Bob Peterson, and offer you the key. Take it.

Go upstairs and look at the painting on the wall. Tap the top-middle, middle, top-left, bottom-middle, and top-left squares in that order - as dictated by the riddle in the coffin.

Use the key to open the safe and take the golden carrot.

Go to the mausoleum in Pebble Ridge and take the bear suit. Put it on inside the red phone box.

Go into the house, go into the bathroom, and look in the mirror. It will turn into a portal into a dark room with an arcade cabinet.

Go into the room and you'll see a message. It reads: "How far does the rabbit hole go?"

Look at the arcade cabinet, tap on the rabbit, and then tap on the message. It will change to "ow F o s he bbit ol o".

Look at the arcade cabinet again, tap on the rabbit, and tap on the message. It will now read "o o i ol o".

Enter this combination of '1s' and '0s' into the desk in this room to get a golden carrot.

Go into the Mane Stage area, and look at the lock on this door. Enter the code "X V V V V X V I", which comes from the cardboard standees of the mules from the arcade machine room.

Inside is a golden carrot.

Look at the photo on the wall behind the bar. Talk to the guy in the bar about Ferris and then about the photo. He will say you need to show it to him.

Go to the hotel kitchen (the two red doors in the hotel foyer) and take the knife.

Go up the path to the left of the saloon, up to the hill, to the house with the barn, inside the house, up the stairs, and through the red door.

Look at the teddy bear and use your knife on its tummy to slash it open. Take the coins.

Go back to town. Go into the general store and ask the shopkeeper what he has for sale. Look at the screwdriver. Give him the gold from the teddy bear.

Go to the alley between the saloon and bank. Look at the cellar door to find six symbols that you can tap on to change their colour.

The answers are scattered around both towns, and can be found:

• Above the cellar door (Orange sheriff's badge)
• In the bathroom (Red pistol)
• In the changing room, after choosing birthday suit (red skull)
• Inside the mausoleum (yellow axe)
• On the door inside the wagon (blue hat)
• In the drawer in the house hallway (green bow and arrow)

Change all the symbols to the correct colour to enter the cellar.

Look at the barrel of Glitch Rum and use your screwdriver to open the barrel.

Go into the saloon and order a drink. Choose a Glitch Rum and tell the barkeep to go change the barrel. While he's gone, pick up the photo on the wall.

Show the photo to the man in the bar and ask where Ferris is now. The man will give you a green chip. Shove it in your pocket.

Go upstairs in the saloon and enter the poker room. Place the green chip on the table and re-arrange the chips and cards to match the image above.

If you're curious, the chip placement is derived from the coloured apples on the tree behind the house. The cards are based on the heist list, found inside the wagon.

The names of the locations (Club Store, Diamond mine, etc.) are references to the cards on the table, and whether they should be face up (ticked) or face down (crossed out).

Make it look like the image above and you'll get the final golden carrot.

Go back to Pebble Ridge and go to the path on the right. Give the nine golden carrots to Gandalf. Tap on Ferris to complete the game.
