Bouncy brawler Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson announced for 3DS in Japan

Fans of fan service and bouncy, 3D beat 'em ups are in for a one-two punch courtesy of the girls from Senran Kagura Burst.

Siliconera reports that the 3DS will receive a sequel to the Silver Award-winning brawler dubbed Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson.

Tentatively scheduled for an August release in Japan, Deep Crimson will stick to the side-scrolling arcade style of Senran Kagura Burst but will introduce boss encounters on a 3D field similar to the Vita's Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus.

Deep Crimson will also introduce co-op and tag-team (pair battle) multiplayer modes, along with two new female characters and two male characters - a first for the franchise.

Don't forget the Vita!

The PS Vita, meanwhile, will receive - ahem - a "hyper big-breasted cooking-rhythm game" called Dekamori Senran Kagura that'll see the girls of the Hebijo and Hanzo academies trade in their katanas for cooking utensils.

It'll still retain the same Senran Kagura atmosphere, however, which naturally means that your cooks will lose parts of their outfits if you flub a level.

We have no idea when, or if, either of these will make their way to the west, unfortunately, and Vita owners are still waiting on a localisation of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus.

There's no announcement as to whether or not that will happen either - although XSEED did talk about the possibility a bit in our recent interview.
