Square Enix has released the first video for its iOS and Android version of classic 16-bit era JRPG Final Fantasy VI.

There's not a lot to see in the trailer, in truth. The start of the soundtrack does sound a bit like a tinny version of 'Thriller', mind.

Also, the footage is mostly hidden by giant borders. The border art is nice, though, so there's that.

Final Fantasy VI will be available on the App Store and the Google Play Store this winter in Japan. We're not sure when it'll be available in the West.
