In reaction to fan feedback, Disney has removed the controversial energy system at the heart of Where's My Water? 2.

Previously, you would be stopped in your tracks after about nine consecutive goes. You'd then be forced to wait for Swampy's energy to refill or until you decided to pay up with real-world money.

This overbearing restriction on play was one reason why we called it a "decent enough puzzling sequel that's ruined by an unpleasant payment system" in our 4/10 review of the game.

Full of energy

In the update text on the App Store, Disney states that "we took your feedback to heart and removed the energy system in this update! Yep that's right. Now play as often and as much as you like!"

Those who purchased the expanded energy meter will receive two Monster Bundles for free.

The Where's My Water? 2 update, which is now available on both iOS and Android, also contains two new locations called the Bayou and Winter Woods. These areas feature new levels, achievements, and collectibles.
