Nintendo Direct: Kirby Triple Deluxe detailed, Phoenix Wright vs Layton dated
Plus: Rosalina for Smash Bros., Bravely Default demo incoming
Once again, Nintendo unveiled a few new details about some upcoming Nintendo 3DS games during its latest Nintendo Direct broadcast.
The next Kirby game will be called Kirby Triple Deluxe, and it will feature levels that are spread between the foreground and far background. Kirby will be able to leap between the planes, while enemies will come at you from off the horizon.
Kirby Triple Deluxe will boast over 20 different types of copy abilities, and four new ones specifically for this new game. Kirby will also gain the new ability to suck up entire parts of the level at certain sections.
This game will also feature Kirby Fighters (a four-player multiplayer arena mode) and Dedede's Drum Dash (a rhythm-based auto-runner starring Kirby's archrival where you play along to famous Kirby songs).
We got a bit more fresh information about Yoshi's New Island, which is heading to 3DS in spring 2014. Takashi Tezuka, creative director of the SNES adventure, is helping out on development, which should put some minds at ease.
Remember Pokemon Bank and PokeTransporter? It'll be available on December 27th. There will be a free 30-day trial pass until January 31st. If you download Pokemon Bank before September 30th, 2014, you'll get a free Celebii for your critter collection.
Puzzle game mash-up Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton will hit the 3DS on March 28th. Layton will have to solve puzzles, while Wright will have to defend a mysterious girl in court.
In the US, Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder will go live in the eShop in 2014. In this spin-off of GameCube cult classic Chibi-Robo!, you will use an in-game camera to capture pictures of items in augmented reality via the front-facing cameras.
US gamers will be able to download a free demo of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy on January 2nd. The demo contains a standalone story not included in the game. Plus, items you obtain and up to 20 StreetPass encounters will be transferred across into the full game.
The full game will be out on February 7th.
We also got a first glance at a new Super Smash Bros. character. Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy (and a Lum pal) will star in this upcoming 3DS and Wii U fighter.
Finally, if you create a new Nintendo ID on your 3DS or link your Wii U account to your 3DS, you'll get a free copy of Game Boy Color game Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on 3DS. Download codes will be sent in February.
