Found yourself stuck in Fireproof's sumptuous box fiddler The Room 2? Good job you found this guide, then. Here, we will walk you through every step you need to take if you want to finish the chapter at hand.
Chapter three takes place in a forgotten temple, with macabre traps and puzzles to solve. We'll break reality with a magic mirror; fire a crossbow bolt or two; open a treasure chest; and burn a tiny straw effigy.

Follow our movements, and you'll solve every puzzle and make your way to the next chapter. But remember to only use this guide as a last resort - it's much more satisfying to figure things out by yourself.

The Room 2 Look up and slide out this metal bar. Then, tap the wall to make the giant stone slab fall forward.

The Room 2

Look at the box on the table. Slide this metal lock all the way to the right, then all the way to the left. Then, slide it back to the middle to make it fall down. Flick the switch that was hidden behind it.

A compartment will open up. Take the small token from inside.

The Room 2

Take this gold tower from the top of the box.

The Room 2

Zoom out and look at the treasure chest on the floor. On the right side, you'll find a handle. Twist it and pull out the drawer. Take the length of string.

The Room 2

Look at the crossbow. Take the small wooden handle. Now, go back to the box.

The Room 2

Place the small wooden handle in this slot. Now you can move the right side of this puzzle up and down. The idea is to slide the white tiles into the slots so that all the shapes match up.

You will need to temporarily place the tiles in the wrong slots so you can move them into a position where you'll actually be able to slide them into the correct slots.

When you're done, a compartment will open containing a trigger mechanism. Take it and go back to the crossbow.

The Room 2

Attach the metal bar from the beginning of this chapter to the crossbow. Then, tie the rope onto the weapon. Finally, place the trigger mechanism to complete the crossbow. A drawer filled with bolts will open. Take one.

The Room 2

Load the bolt onto the crossbow and then pull it back until it's in firing position. Double-tap on the trigger to look down the sights of the crossbow.

Now, look at the relief on the wall to your left. Aim at the eyehole and flick the yellow trigger to fire a bolt. If your aim is good, the bolt will go in and unlock the next area.

If not, take another bolt and try again.

The Room 2

A new area will appear on the other side of the room. Look at the puzzle box on the table and place the small token in the slot on the left.

The goal in this game is to get your token into the area on the right without touching the skull token. The skull, by the way, is always chasing you.

You can use the switch on the side of the box to make one of the grid squares shift between left and right positions.

Start by having the square in the right position. Then, move to squares (as shown in the image above) 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 6, 11, 12.

The skull should be on the moving grid square. Move it into the left position and it will now be behind you. You can go to squares 13, 14, 15, 16, and finally 17 without being caught.

A drawer will open containing a key. Grab it.

The Room 2

Place the key in the keyhole on the front of the treasure chest on the other side of the room. Now, twist both handles with two fingers at the same time to unlock the chest. Open it and take the large stone block inside.

The Room 2

Go back to the area with the puzzle box. Beneath the table is this wooden contraption. Attach your stone block to the end of the wooden beam to finish it.

Now, spin the wheel on the right until the hammer is in the upright position. Pull the wooden switch down to make the hammer smash into the rock.

Do this three more times to smash the rock. Behind it, you will find a shard of glass. Take it.

The Room 2

Place the shard of glass in this broken mirror. A small combination lock will appear above the mirror.

The Room 2

Go back to the area with the treasure chest. You'll notice a sandpit to the left. Rub at it with your finger and two symbols will appear.

The Room 2

Enter those symbols in the combination lock on top of the mirror and a new puzzle box will appear on the table. Move this window to the central position until it clicks and a door will open.

The Room 2

Look through the door with your eyepiece and you'll see these green lines. Move the camera in such a way that the lines form the outline of a doorway.

Do it again in the next room. You'll then see another pair of symbols. You can use these on the combination lock above the mirror to return to the other puzzle box.

The Room 2

Place the golden tower in the empty corner of this castle-style box. If you forgot to take the tower from earlier, use the symbols we just got in the above puzzle to return to the other box.

Once you're done, a knife will appear. Take it.

The Room 2

Go back to the mirror and put the second pair of symbols in the combination lock. It will take you back to the first puzzle box.

The Room 2

Put the knife in the top of the box. A window will open containing a straw man and a small gem. Take both.

The Room 2

Look at the back of the box with your eyepiece. You'll see this map, which will come in handy in a second.

Now, input the first pair of symbols (a backwards 't' and a pair of arrowheads) into the lock above the mirror to return to the golden castle puzzle box.

The Room 2

Look around the back side and you'll see these gems. Put your new gem in the gap on the top left. Now, tap on three gems, corresponding to the map we saw on the other puzzle box.

If you forgot, just look at the lit-up gems in the screenshot above.

Inside is a piece of flint. Take it.

The Room 2

Place the straw effigy and the piece of flint onto the stone bowl that's between the treasure chest and sandpit. Rake the flint against the stone block a few times to light the straw man on fire. This will make two new areas appear.

The Room 2

Take another crossbow bolt and load it into the crossbow. This time, shoot it at the sack of sand behind the bars. A secret compartment will appear on the other side of the room.

The Room 2

Take the "metal object with a star shape at either end" from this area.

The Room 2

Go back to the treasure chest and place that metal object in the indented area. Now, shut the lid and open it again. You should see a metal shard in the metal object. Take it.

The Room 2

Place the metal shard onto the dial on the front of the golden puzzle box. If the wrong puzzle box is on the table, use the mirror to switch back to the gold one.

The Room 2

Look through your eyepiece. Now, spin it around until the pink band is a complete circle. Let go and the lock will open and you can spin the entire jade dial around.

The Room 2

Spin the jade dial so all four shapes on the dial meet the same four shapes on the outside of this circle. The box will open up, revealing a human skull. Take it.

The Room 2

Go back to this area and place the skull on the back wall. Twist the switch right to crack open the skull.

The Room 2

Inside is a puzzle box. Spin the top section left to complete the symbol. Take the glowing crystal from inside. And then spin the camera around until the floating red sticks join up to make that same symbol.

Chapter complete!
