Wurdy is a fast-paced word-describing party game for iPad and iPhone
Is it 'dignity'?
If you're looking for a party game to whip out this Christmas and you're sick of losing dice, then Wurdy could well be the game for which you've been waiting.
It's a simple word-describing game, and it's out on the App Store right now.
You're given 60 seconds to describe as many words as you can, without miming, rhyming, or spelling the words out.
There are a bunch of different categories, and more than 3,000 words to try and explain to the other players.
Your scores are automatically noted, by the way, so you can find out who the best at describing words is once everyone's had a turn.
You can even record gameplay videos and share them quickly through a variety of social networks, if you want people to see your bemused face.
I had a chance to play Wurdy at Pocket Gamer's Big Indie Pitch event earlier in the year. And while it's not the most original concept, it is brilliantly presented and an awful lot of fun in the right setting.
Wurdy is available on the App Store right now, and will set you back £1.49 / $1.99. That's a pretty small price to pay to avoid those awkward silences on Boxing Day.
