Stellar Wars is the PG Readers' iOS and Android game of November 2013

A sure sign of it being December is the sight of your eager neighbours decorating their houses with gaudy Christmas lights and decorations.

The best indication of the last month of the year rolling in, however, is the announcement of the PG Readers' iOS and Android Game of November.

We asked you on Friday to vote for your favourite game from last month, and over the weekend you did just that. The votes have been counted and we do, indeed, have a winner.

Is it too much to ask for a drumroll for the announcement? Screw it. The winner is....

Stellar Wars

The successor to 2011's Legendary Wars, Stellar Wars trades fantasy dwellings for robots, asteroids, and grotesquely designed aliens.

The lane-based tactical battles remain, with your robots on the left and the aliens emerging from the right. Simple controls makes it easy to order strategic commands easy to individual units, or your whole robotic army if need be.

This one also adds sidescrolling shooter sections that make demands on your reactions, and supply a welcome change of pace.

Stellar Wars is a visually striking game, too. Just one glance at the bright greens, mellow blues, and alien purples grabs
your interest.

If you haven't grabbed it already, Stellar Wars is available on the App Store [buy] for £1.49 / $1.99. However, it's currently half price during the Thanksgiving sale, so grab it for cheap while you can.

Congrats to Liv Games for creating the game that you voted as the PG Readers' Game of November. Thanks to you for throwing your opinions into the pot, too.
