The PG Readers' iOS and Android Game of the Month - your vote needed
|

Every month, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to find the diamonds in the rough is no easy task, let us assure you.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, end-of-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, mind.

But, now we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android from the past month (from the nominations below), and then we'll announce the winner in a glamorous article next Monday.

To vote, either leave a comment at the bottom of this article or turn your choice into the world's most infectious earworm and start singing it outside the Pocket Gamer office.

The nominations
Football Manager Handheld 2014 (iPad, iPhone, Android) "Football Manager Handheld 2014 remains the best football management game on iOS, but it’s a big fish in a small pond."
Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (iPad, iPhone) "The beautiful, adventurous, and lengthy Oceanhorn is a strong stand-in for The Legend of Zelda on iOS, but don't expect it to top the real deal in any respect."
Drive on Moscow (iPad) "Another slice of exacting, unadorned tactical play from Shenandoah, Drive on Moscow doesn't tinker much with Battle of the Bulge's mechanics, but its new setting makes for an equally worthwhile challenge."
The Rivers of Alice (iPad, iPhone, Android) "A challenging and gorgeous game, The Rivers of Alice is a mysterious adventure that some will adore."
Stellar Wars (iPad, iPhone) "Stellar Wars is a solid sequel to Legendary Wars, righting some of the wrongs and providing a captivating new setting for the strategic action."
Sorcery! 2 (iPad, iPhone) "More frustrating than the first chapter, Sorcery! 2 still spins a compelling yarn. Here's hoping chapter three isn't another six months off."
GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience (iPad, iPhone, Android) "An attractive and vast racing simulator that largely holds its own against the Real Racing series, but which requires an awful lot of hard work (or expenditure) to make any progress with."
Neon Shadow (iPad, iPhone, Android) "A hugely entertaining shooter that works brilliantly on touchscreen, Neon Shadow is a must-buy for anyone who likes a blast."
Touchgrind Skate 2 (iPad, iPhone) "A brilliant skate sim with a surprising depth, Touchgrind Skate 2 is well worth the time and effort it takes to master."
The Shivah (iPad, iPhone) "Like a rabbinical sermon, The Shivah is short, thought-provoking, and raises a lot of questions. It's got terrific puzzles, too, but that doesn't really fit my clever analogy."
Blocky Roads (iPad, iPhone) "A consummately executed physics racer with a chunky Minecraft aesthetic and an irresistible just-one-more-go factor, Blocky Roads provides quite a ride."
Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies (iPad, iPhone) "Though Ace Patrol and Pacific Skies's core systems are pretty much identical, the latter's shift to a more technologically advanced conflict and thoughtful enhancements make it every bit the worthy sequel."
Lords of Waterdeep (iPad, iPhone) "A superb re-creation of a popular and unusual Dungeons & Dragons boardgame, with excellent usability, tough AI opponents and little multimedia tweaks that really add to the experience."
Joe Dever's Lone Wolf (iPad, iPhone, Android) "Half gamebook and half action RPG, Joe Dever's Lone Wolf is one adventure that fans of either genre will enjoy from start to finish."
Papa Pear Saga (iPad, iPhone, Android) "Move over Candy Crush Saga, the crown for fast-paced puzzling crown now rightfully belongs to Papa Pear."
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (iPad, iPhone) "Castle of Illusion combines old school challenge with impeccable presentation to create a fitting tribute to one of the 16-bit era's finest platforming classics."
Rayman Fiesta Run (iPad, iPhone, Android) "Rayman Fiesta Run is another giddy and breathless mix of memory and reflexes. It's not much different from its prequel, but the added challenge is welcome."
Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark (iPad, iPhone) "A great iOS port of a brilliant platform-puzzler, Stealth Inc is well worth your attention."
Tilt to Live 2: Redunkulous (iPad, iPhone) "By sticking to its core dot-dodging components while simultaneously refreshing its riotous arsenal, Tilt to Live 2: Redonkulous proves a fine complement to the original."
Icycle: On Thin Ice (iPad, iPhone) "An entertaining and gorgeous platformer, Icycle: On Thin Ice is as smart as it is fun."
Pathogen (iPad, iPhone) "A novel abstract strategy game that checks all the boxes for a fantastic digital experience and is charming enough, despite occasional accessibility issues, to win over abstract cynics like me."
Morphopolis (iPad, iPhone) "A strange and intriguing game, Morphopolis has its problems, but it's interesting enough that you can mostly look past them."
Star Wars: Tiny Death Star (iPad, iPhone, Android) "A clever blending of two licences, Star Wars: Tiny Death Star does exactly what you'd expect it to."
