This week sees Sega starting a new 3D Classics campaign, with retro Mega Drive games re-released for the 3DS with brand-spanking new stereoscopic 3D effects.

Of course, if you've picked up a Nintendo 2DS, you won't be able to see those. Sorry about that.

There's some other new stuff this week too, but honestly, it's all looking a bit bland. Again, sorry about that. Let's check it out anyway.

European eShop releases

Super Hang-On and Space Harrier are this week's classic Sega games that have been given a stereoscopic 3D makeover. Both cost £4.49 each.

Meanwhile, there's Angry Bunnies for £5.99, World Conqueror 3D for £4.29, Mystery Murders: The Sleeping Palace for £4.49, One Piece Romance Dawn for £28.49, and Power Rangers Megaforce for £28.49.

You can also My Baby Pet Hotel 3D for £24.99, and Crash'n the Boys Street Challenge for £3.59. Oh, and get this - Doodle Jump Adventures, which is basically the original Doodle Jump but with levels, is a whopping £19.99. Wowza.

So a load of old cack, then. There are some games discounted too, such as Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D and Gardenscapes, but they are all a bit rubbish, so I'm not going to bother mentioning them.

US eShop releases

Unfortunately, the US store isn't looking any better.

You guys get Space Harrier and Super Hang-On too, which is neat - but it all goes downhill from there.

Young Justice: Legacy is $29.99, Race To The Line is $3.99, My Exotic Farm is $24.99, and on the Virtual Console there's Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom for $4.99.

So not a great week then. Hopefully next week will produce better fruit.
