Hunt monsters in feudal japan when Toukiden: Age of Demons comes to the Vita in February

If you're a fan of the enormously successful Monster Hunter franchise but wished it was a bit more Onimusha, then Tecmo Koei's given you something to look forward to in 2014.

It's announced that Toukiden: Age of Demons will come to the PS Vita in North America on February 11 and while Europeans will get it three days later.

Set in a time period inspired by medieval Japanese history, Toukiden features a cast of over 200 characters with many based on historical Japanese figures.

But it's not exactly a history lesson. The main focus of the game is to save humanity from giant, hulking demons (oni).

Toukiden boasts an in-depth character creation system along with six different weapon types for players to use.

To help jumpstart your oni hunting career, Tecmo Koei announced a series of pre-order bonuses for fans in both Europe and America.

If you pre-order from the PSN (Europe) or Amazon (US), you'll get the 'Mitama of Momotaro' bonus which strengthens your character's skills along with special Cat Ear armour. Americans will also get a Fox Mask piece of armour if they go through Amazon.

If you pre-order from Game, Amazon, or independent retailers (Europe) or GameStop (US) you'll get the 'Mitama of Niijima Yae' bonus along with two extra mission collections. European gamers will be able to get the Fox Mask armour if they go this route.
