Classic strategy reboot M.U.L.E. Returns is available for iPhone and iPad right now

A little later than expected, Comma 8 Studio's iOS remake of seminal strategy game M.U.L.E. has just surfaced on the App Store.

So, if you're a fan of old school strategy in reasonably new school packages, you're in luck.

With M.U.L.E. Returns, Comma 8 sticks pretty closely to the original template, with resource collecting and land collection firmly at the heart of this new touchscreen experience.

There's a mixture of turn-based and real-time play here. And while things are easy to understand to begin with, there's a huge hidden depth of strategy to proceedings that requires some serious thought if you want to get the most out of the game.

There are leaderboards to work your way up and achievements to unlock, too.
