Fishlabs soft-launches huge MMORTS Galaxy on Fire - Alliances for iOS in 14 countries

Fishlabs has soft-launched its free-to-play strategy MMO Galaxy on Fire - Alliances for iOS in a number of territories.

This means that if you live in one of the 14 places listed below, you can get some hands-on time with this deep space base builder now.

Those places are Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. All lovely places, I'm sure.

Using some technological wizardry, we managed to get some hands-on time with the build. And it's fair to say that there's a lot to take in.

If you're looking for a light and fluffy game about conquering galaxies and fighting or forging alliances with other players, you're probably better off looking elsewhere.

There's a thick and stodgy soup of RTS options here whose taste is a little reminiscent of Sins of a Solar Empire's.

Colonisation, base building, resource collection, transportation... you're pretty much in charge of an entire solar system of logistical and military factors.

Given this is a free-to-play game, there are wait timers here. You can shorten them by flashing some currency in their 'direction', mind, although it remains to be seen what effect these artificial timers will have on the gameplay.

You can read a more in-depth hands-on report with the game here. Of course, we'll let you know when Galaxy on Fire - Alliances is available worldwide.
